Fr Ebuka Umekachikelu, MSP - Homily Friday, April 5, 2019

The scribes and the Pharisees felt threatened because of the impact that the miracles and deep teachings of Jesus had on the people, they were losing relevance, they feared and that explains their hostility and plot to eliminate Jesus. When challenged by the righteous and exemplary lifestyle of others how do I react? Am I am hostile? Do I make jest of others and try to pull them down out of envy? This was the attitude of the scribes and Pharisees.
Lord make us humble of hearts, may we never harden our hearts when we hear your word. Amen.
